While the vision tells us what God has called us to do as a church our values tell us how we are to go about it. Our values allow God to stretch us and thereby increase our influence in society and the world. Our values include issues of character, of faith, of leadership style and of heart. We list twenty-five separate values, which we hold as vital to our church. We encourage you to take the time to read them and research the Scriptural references listed. 1. A people of faith - letting our theology determine all of our lives - we need to truly know and understand our God:
2. Embracing the 'all' of Christ and surrendering our all to Him - unconditionally:
3. Preparing the Bride of Christ:
4. Being radically Word-based - not just preaching the Word but living it out at every level:
5. Building covenantal relationships - embracing friendship, not just function (committed, submitted, serving and preserving one another):
6. Embracing the priesthood of all believers - we are all the 'A-team'. All believers evangelising as a lifestyle, all-embracing churches without generational, cultural or gender gaps with the 'majority' carrying the 'minority':• 1 Peter 2: 9
7. Supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural - wild but not weird, demonstrating the authentic life and power of God (not fake or phoney):
8. Understanding and releasing the anointing - the anointing breaks yokes and changes lives. It is what distinguishes the Church from the world:
9. A people of prayer - with fasting and warfare, personal and corporate:
10. A people of character (Psalm 78:72)
11. Not distracted by every new emphasis - grounded in the truth:
12. Biblical freedom - not legalism or licentiousness:• Galatians 5: 1
13. Total Grace package - understanding, experiencing and extending grace to others:
14. Bringing all to maturity- teaching people accountability:
15. Financial freedom - debt free living, tithes, offerings, alms, apostolic giving, generous lifestyle:
16. Training and equipping all believers to be leaders - recognize, raise up and release leaders, taking them from dependence to independence and then interdependence:
17. All part of a team - no superstars, all of us working together, at all levels (in plurality):
18. Building away from ourselves:
19. Placing equal importance on the wine (power/Spirit) and the wineskin (pattern/structure):
20. Preaching the Kingdom of God - it is God's total answer for man's total needs. Preaching the King and the Kingdom and a Kingdom culture:
21. The restoration of all that was lost, stolen and most needed:
22. Living in the reality of Apostolic/Prophetic ministry:
23. Fulfilling the Great Commission - of, to and for all nations:
24. Going beyond the third generation - continuity and passing the baton to the next generation:
25. The Church as God's healing community:
